Associate Dean of Academics

Saurav graduated from LCCM in 2014 and during his time studied extensively with Richard Brook, Pete Cater, Dave O’Higgins and Simon Wallace. In his final year he held the drum chair for the newly launched ‘Jazz Pathway’ program within the performance department.

 

Since graduation, Saurav has been a full-­‐time performing musician and educator. In India he has worked with artists touring from all over the world and recently performed with multiple Grammy nominated jazz piano player John Di Martino and legendary jazz trumpeter, cornetist and flugelhornist Warren Vaché. He has also performed alongside Túlio Mourão, Greg Banaszak, Sean Freeman, Tom Walsh, Eran Har Even, Neil Miner, The Symphony Orchestra of India as well as numerous Indian artists such as Sajay Divecha, Samantha Edwards, Anurag Naidu, Abhinav Khokhar and Pradyumna Singh Manot.

 

As an educator, Saurav is Associate Dean of Academics at the True School of Music in Mumbai, India's largest contemporary school of music where he also teaches drums, music theory and ensemble techniques.
