Richie Stevens

Subject Leader & Module Leader - Studio Recordings

Became a professional musician in 1980, starting as a drummer, working with Dennis Bovell and Linton Kwesi Johnson, went on to work on many varied sessions, listed below. 1985 signed major record deal with Virgin Records and Virgin Publishing, with my own project Well Red. Delivered two albums and collaborated with many producers and artists, listed below. This period developed my skills as a producer/writer and remixer, which has also led to many more interesting collaborations. I am a professional drummer/producer to this day. I have been teaching since 2004 and am currently head of production at LCCM in London. I developed the B-Mus production course in collaboration with the college.
