Martin is a widely published writer, a magazine editor and a multichannel content strategist. As a poet he has contributed to many journals, and has a debut collection,ß Scarecrow (2017). He is co-founder of independent publishing house Dunlin Press and has previously taught literature at the University of Essex. As a journalist and content marketer he has worked at creative agencies for clients as diverse as the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Royal Society and British Heart Foundation, and consumer brands including Tesco, British Gas and Lloyds TSB. As a feature writer he has also written extensively for consumer magazines, newspaper supplements and websites.
