Full-time (shift arrangement). Permanent.
Do you have a degree in Music Technology or a related discipline, or experience in this area?
Would you relish the opportunity to be an integral part of the development of technical services for a leading contemporary music and creative industries college following its move to brand new state-of-the-art premises in the heart of Southwark?
Would you appreciate the flexibility to work as part of a team of 3 on a rota system, including some evenings and Saturdays, with a working week of 40 hours?
London College of Creative Media (LCCM) is an independent music and creative industries college based in Southwark. We have recently moved to brand new state-of-the-art premises and have a requirement for two Technicians to join our Technical Services department.
The Technical Services department is responsible for the daily operation of the college. The team has a thorough understanding of the college's complete timetable and calendar, including all courses, events and wider activities, and an understanding of the requirements of each event so as to ensure the provision of resources, equipment and facilities.
The ideal candidate would have a technical background with experience of providing technical support and musical equipment demonstrations. Previous experience working in a music studio, rehearsal facility or music school is desirable. You will need to be punctual and enthusiastic about putting your problem-solving skills to the test on a daily basis. We need someone who will commit themselves to the college and its students, who will be personable in the support they provide, taking pride in the image of the college and the prosperity of its staff, tutors and students. Owing to the operational needs of the College, particularly during term-time, there is a requirement for shift work in the evenings and working late at students’ gigs and masterclasses (approximately 3-5 days-per-term).
