There’s still plenty of time to secure yourself a university place for September 2018.

Clearing is the UCAS application process for undergraduate full-time courses and it runs from July to September.

You can apply through Clearing if:

  • You have missed the 30 June deadline to apply to universities
  • You have declined offered from universities or weren’t able to respond to UCAS by the deadline.
  • You haven’t been able to meet the necessary grades for your conditional offer
  • You didn’t receive any university offers

We will be accepting applications for clearing courses from 5 July. If in this time, you require any assistance, get in touch with our specialist clearing team on +44 (0)20 3535 1080.

All about Clearing

When does Clearing start?

It’s a mistake to think clearing only occurs in the week following results day. Nope! Clearing actually starts in July and ends in September. From 2 July, we will feature our Clearing and Adjustment vacancies. This gives you plenty of time to prepare and plan.

How does Clearing work on UCAS?

You can see which of our courses are in Clearing by looking at our website and also on the UCAS website.  If you are in Clearing, your status in UCAS Track will reflect this.

Once you have decided which course you are interested in, you should get in touch with us to discuss your options and receive a provisional offer. Remember to have your UCAS Personal ID number and your exam results to hand before you call.

Clearing tips:

  • PLACES ARE LIMITED. Apply as soon as you can.
  • When you are applying, ensure you are prepared and have all the relevant information at hand so it’s a smooth process for you.
  • Make sure you check out our course page here so you have the facts.

Remember, clearing isn’t just for A-level students. BTEC, IB, Access, mature, international students and any other students are more than welcome to apply.

Benefits of clearing:

  • We will have a conversation with you to discuss your options
  • We may be able to offer you a place!

 What happens after clearing?

  • If we offer you a place, you will get email confirmation of our provisional offer within one hour of you speaking to us.
  • Login to UCAS Track (you don’t have wait for your email confirmation from us to do this). Under the tab ‘Add a Clearing Choice’, add us.

Q. I’m worried about not making the conditions of my fast track offer?
A. We may have made you an aspirational offer based on the merits of your application and made the offer based on our standard entry criteria.

If you have referred yourself after receiving a provisional offer and you do not meet the conditions of your offer, or miss a grade, we will re-assess your application on results day.
We examine your application with the programme team in the same conditions to clearing to see if we can still accept you on the course. If not, we will always look to see if we can offer a suitable alternative. Therefore, you do not need to apply again through clearing if you do not meet the condition of your offer.
