The music industry has changed. Today’s successful musicians are multi-instrumentalists who can produce their own music, manage their own projects and capitalise on their online channels. The BMus hons Music Performance & Production Course is aimed at producing versatile, musically literate graduates with the skills, theoretical knowledge and networks needed to develop lasting careers as professional musicians. On our Degree Music you will learn from professional musicians working in the Industry who bring their practical knowledge and expertise into the classroom.

EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS
- Touring Band Member: Plays as a hired musician for major artists, bands, or productions.
- Orchestral or Session Musician: Works in live and studio settings for recordings, films, and commercial music projects.
- Musical Director (Live Shows): Arranges music, directs rehearsals, and manages band performances for live shows.
- Pit Orchestra Musician (Theatre/Opera): Performs in theatre productions, operas, or ballets.
- Cruise Ship/Corporate Band Performer: Plays in high-end venues, luxury cruises, or corporate events as a professional instrumentalist.

VERA BOHL
Programme Leader for BMus Music Performance & Production
Vera Bohl is a London-based pianist and educator specializing in stagecraft and music performance.
Her latest EP, Mudança, explores expressive and dynamic interpretations across genres. She is the Programm Leader at LCCM and advocates for inclusive music education, specialising in Jazz.
She has a music publishing company in Berlin together with Universal Music.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
BMus (Hons) Music Performance & Production
Undergraduate (Level 4):
- 104 UCAS points from accepted Level 3 qualifications, or equivalent experience
- Successful interview
All applicants meeting the minimum entry requirements and whose application demonstrates the capability to complete this programme will be offered an interview.
The course is taught in English. If you are not a native speaker you will need to demonstrate fluency in reading, writing and oral English at interview/application stage. You may be asked to prove this via a third party test where you should score, as a minimum, the following points: IELTS 5.5 or Duolingo 95
