COURSE OVERVIEW
Learn the essentials of business and economics in the context of
the Music, Entertainment & Consumer Tech industries. All modern businesses whether working in the
creative sector or not engage with digital channels & entertainment content to engage customers and
build loyalty. Learning how music, entertainment & streaming platforms build and attract consumers is
therefore useful to inform all modern enterprises.
LCCM’s new CertHE Entertainment Business & Technology is a one year programme for anyone interested in learning about business and technology trends with case studies from the most successful businesses of all time: the entertainment and tech giants. You’ll learn the essentials of business success, innovation and the digital content industries then get to put what you’ve learnt into practice in two practical modules of your choice based around launching a music artist, digital product design (NFTs, apps etc.) or event management.
Your studies on this one year Higher Education certificate in Entertainment Business & Technology will be centred around LCCM’s iconic Music Box campus where there is no end of talented music producers and performers for you to collaborate and work with on your entertainment events and entrepreneurial projects. Lessons will not be confined to learning about the music industry and will cover relevant entertainment content strategies and innovative practise across movies & TV, video games, social media and content marketing. On successful completion of this one year course you can embark on your entertainment career having already experienced launching a product or embryonic business to market or you can decide to stay for a further two years, transferring to our BA in Music Industry Management or a relevant degree programme elsewhere.
