Our one year Music Performance course is perfect if you want to advance your existing instrumental or vocal skills, improve your understanding of music theory and perform contemporary popular music with like-minded people. Our aim is to give you the skills, knowledge and opportunity to help you create the music you want to make.

A minimum of 2 A-level passes or the equivalent however typical offers tend to be higher. Complete information is is available here on our entry criteria.
Bass, Drums, Flute, Guitar, Piano and Keyboards, Saxophone, Songwriting, Trombone, Trumpet or Voice.
Every musician needs to understand music theory and have good aural skills so these subjects are compulsory. We also believe that all music students need to understand the relationship between music and society.

You can apply to progress from the Cert HE into year 2 of our degree by taking the Direct Entry exam at the end of your Spring term. If you don’t meet the requirements you can take our Music Access Course which will prepare you for our BMus.
