Offered at level 4 this is a concise module that involves remixing and creating original material. Students will also learn all the practical short cuts that make mixing and recording with logic much easier.

Aims of the module

Based around Logic Pro, this module provides students with a range of approaches to the creation of musical works using music production software.


Who Is This Course For?

The course is aimed at people who want to develop a career in the music industry as a musician, songwriter, artist, band member, producer, arranger, manager, music business executive or music industry entrepreneur.

Our students also develop skills that can enable them to establish careers in a wide range of other related industries such as in the Arts, in the Media, in technology or Education.

What Will I Experience?

This course is designed to give you a good grounding in all aspects of the music industry. Bass, Drums, Guitar, Keyboards or Vocals. You will develop your technical skills on your chosen instrument.


You will perform both your own music and covers at a music venue in a range of bands and ensembles.

Theory and Notation

You will develop essential skills including theory, ear training and working with notation.

Music Business

you will explore the music business including the key roles, players and functions every music professional needs to understand.

Music Programming

Learn to produce your own music using Logic Pro.

Pre-requisites for taking the module

  • Little experience to study this module at level 4, for instance students could have knowledge of similar soft-ware, such as Cubase or Ableton without having had previous experience of logic.
