Membership will allow the college to gain sector-wide recognition of our teaching experience and the ability to reflect on and improve our teaching practices.

LCCM has worked in collaboration with the Folkuniversitetet to provide workshops for singers both in the UK and in Malmo.
Folkuniversitetet offers a wide range of adult education courses throughout Sweden and in several European countries. Its mission is to give people the best possibilities for a richer life, both in a private and professional context.

“All About The Band” is a music project funded by Youth Music and Southwark Music Service. Delivered by LCCM, the project is for aspiring musicians, singers and songwriters who are interested in playing in bands or performing their own music. The course runs for eight weeks with one afternoon session per week at LCCM.

Industry Partners

LCCM is pleased to announce its new partnership with UK Music, an industry-funded body representing the collective interests of the recorded, published and live arms of the British music industry. UK Music ensures that a collective voice across the sector is identified and that the copyright which underpins music is recognised and valued at all levels of government, throughout the wider economy and by consumers. UK Music also runs the Music Academic Partnership (MAP) which links industry and academia. By working closely with UK Music, LCCM aims to increase the number of music industry events hosted in its newly opened Music Box building, as well as encouraging more people to pursue a career in music.

This new collaboration has two core aims. Firstly it ensures LCCM students perform and practice on the same kit used by professional musicians and secondly
it will enable LCCM to hold regular master classes and clinics with TAMA or Zildjian artists.

LCCM was proud to host a Sofar Sounds gig. We look forward to hosting more in the future.

LCCM is proud to support Platoon artists. We look forward to more exciting collaborations in the future.

Bernard Butler (Suede), Mike Smith (MD of Warner Chappell), La Roux, Alan McGee (Creation Records/Oasis), Brix Smith (The Fall), Dave Robinson (Stiff
Records) amongst others.

“Plugin Alliance is proud to be partnered with LCCM. We are excited about the students having access to our plugins throughout their journey at LCCM. It’s my firm belief that giving the students world class production tools will help them to become world class engineers.”
