We can’t wait to welcome drummer and session musician Louie Palmer to LCCM for a drum masterclass on October 25th, 7-9pm.
Having worked with the likes of Sting’s sideman Jason Rebello, this is going to be an event not to miss, especially for our rhythm students. Come down to Union Street’s Concert Room for the drum masterclass which will run in the evening, 7pm – 9pm.
Currently based in Los Angeles, London-born Louie Palmer has been drumming since the age of 5. During school he was involved in school jazz orchestras and played at several drum clinics with former Style Council member Steve White. A recipient of a Berklee scholarship, he moved to Boston in 2004 to study at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music. Since leaving education he’s gone on to play with Sting sideman Jason Rebello, Mike Stern, Tim Lefebvre and many more.
This masterclass will be the first in a series we’re hosting at LCCM this year. In the past we’ve had an amazing range of artists and musicians come to share their stories and knowledge with the students, from Boy George to Jordan Rakei. Keep an eye out for our next few masterclasses, which will be coming soon this term.
We only have 70 places for this masterclass, so make sure you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to grab a seat!
