After winning a Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act on 20 February and releasing his first album last Friday, our alumnus Tom Walker is causing quite a stir across the pond.
Could he be the newest Brit rock dynamo taking the music world by storm? An article recently published by the New York Post, suggests as much, describing him as “the next Ed Sheeran”. Last week, he also appeared on The Today Show, one of the most watched TV morning shows in the US.
In the New York Post article, Tom talked about his Brits win, his experience as a songwriting student at LCCM, how he came to be a singer and meeting the British royal family when he performed at the Royal Foundation dinner last November.
