Freshers at OMEARA – Count Counsellor, The Powerstrangers, Sans Soucis & DJs

We’re extremely excited to announce that our annual Freshers gig will be happening at prestigious new venue OMEARA, owned by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons, on Friday 20th October 2017. Based at 6 O’Meara street – over the road from LCCM Union Street – it’s an exclusive Friday night party… with no curfew!

Performing at the gig will be Giulia Grispino AKA Sans Soucis, an up and coming fusion-soul songwriter and solo artist based in London who is currently studying at LCCM. She will open Freshers with her tastefully chosen ensemble to perform a set of eclectic original material. Listen to her new single ‘Every Night’.

Next up will be The Powerstrangers, made up of LCCM alumni and graduates George Berry, Tom Miller and Constantin Dierdrichs. With a repertoire ranging from early rock ‘n’ roll to modern electro-pop, they bring the bangers from all eras to their set in high energy performances.

Headlining will be awesome alumni Henry Counsell AKA Count Counsellor who, since graduating in 2015, has seen mass support from BBC Radio 1, Huw Stephens, Clash Magazine and Noisey/VICE. Following a recent sold out show at Camden Assembly, Count Counsellor and his live band The Collectors will play a set of pure energy you don’t want to miss. Listen to their new EP ‘& The Friday Friends’.

H Grade – London-based and ex LCCM Producer/DJ James Hogg, aka H Grade will be spinning funk, disco and soul hits to kick off the afterparty.

From Concentrate – From Concentrate are a collective of bands and artists featuring multiple LCCM alumni including Count Counsellor, Husky Loops, LVNA & more. The collectives founders will be dropping tunes into the early hours.

Doors will open at 7:30pm with music starting at 8pm. Tickets are available to all LCCM Students, ex-students, friends and families. These are a nominal price of £2 and can be picked up from LCCM Union Street front desk anytime from 27th September (first come, first served – so be quick!).
