We welcome back all our students for the New Year and have some exciting developments for 2018.
We are pleased to announce that in line with the college’s development plans, LCCM has become part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network of universities and colleges. Being part of the GUS network will safeguard LCCM for its long term development and increase opportunities for our students.
We expect this new relationship to improve our student experience by enabling us to renew and replace equipment and studios more efficiently, as well as generally upgrading our facilities and services going forward. GUS are supporting our move to our new campus The Music Box to ensure this happens as quickly and smoothly as possible. We assure you that all studies at LCCM will continue uninterrupted and the college will keep its unique creative culture and core ethos.
GUS currently owns and operates a large number of education institutions in the UK, Canada, Germany, Singapore, Ireland and Israel. By joining GUS, LCCM students will be able to enjoy a higher level of academic and career support, as well as becoming part of a large network of some of the most talented students and graduates globally, in a wide range of areas from finance to fashion.
In recent years, GUS ownership has impacted institutions positively, both in terms of academic and corporate development and student outcomes. LCCM will retain its academic independence and will receive support to grow and deliver excellent outcomes for its students. Working together, we will enhance study opportunities and increase support for students more broadly.
Aaron Etingen, Founder and CEO of GUS, said: “At Global University Systems, we look for institutions that can complement our network and bring something new to the group. We believe there is very strong synergy between our group and LCCM, as well as a good potential for cross-fertilisation among our existing institutions. We are very proud to welcome LCCM to the GUS network and will be delighted to continue supporting their students and existing academic partnerships.”
