On 20 March, we’ll be welcoming Hannah Bond for a guest talk on Creative & Professional Writing at the Music Box!

Hannah is an editor at the fiction team at Hodder & Stoughton, assisting two senior publishers and working on a range of commercial fiction titles, including authors such as David Nicholls, Mike Gayle, Erin Kelly and Sabine Durrant.

We’ll look at the process of turning a submission into a publication, including how an unpublished manuscript become a real book, what an editor actually does, how covers are designed, the importance of marketing and proofs, what the author’s role is and how important it is to consider genre and market.

The talk will be open to all students, but will cater mainly to Creative and Professional Writing students. It will take place in Classroom 4B from 1pm to 2pm. To RSVP please email: events@lccm.org.uk. We’ll see you there!
