Luca Santaniello has been living in New York City since 2001, performing as a freelance jazz musician and collaborating with musicians from the international jazz scene.
The masterclass was organised in the form of an interactive session, where different types of jazz drumming were discussed. Students were also able to go through practice routines using drum practice kits, dissecting techniques of famous drummers. To further enhance their skills, Luca prepared critical listening exercises for the audience.
During the Q&A session, everyone had a chance to ask questions about the industry and discuss the jazz scene in London, Los Angeles, Italy and New York. Luca also provided a great opportunity for students to receive individual advice from him and perform in front of the whole class.
